Hydrogen controlled, basic coated iron powder-type electrode of outstanding quality, suitable for sour service.
APPLICATIONS:ULTIMATE-18 NC is an outstanding electrode designed for several stringent applications, demanding the best in terms of total weld quality. This unique electrode is capable of yielding welds which are of radiographic quality, combined with exceptionally high impact strength and crack resistance. Thus it is suitable for a very wide range of grain-refined steels having tensile strength in the range of 500 to 600 N/mm2), as well as difficult steels containing higher carbon or higher levels of sulphur and other impurities.
In addition, weld metal is suitable for sour service.
